The purpose of
the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program is three-fold:

About Our 21st CCLC East End’s
After–School Program runs from 2:45 – 6:00 p.m. Monday – Friday on most days
that students are in school. This year
the program began on August 28, 2006 and will end on May 18, 2007. This year, we are fortunate to be able to
offer bus transportation at the end of each day to students and parents who
choose to use it. The majority of our
students do ride the bus. Special Activities

After–School Daily Schedule Monday – Thursday: 2:45–3:00 – begin homework,
take attendance, get snack 3:00-4:00 – 20 minutes each of tutoring (small groups with a certified teacher), computer time (reading and math skills using the
Success Maker program) and homework help 4:00–4:15 – homework,
clean-up, and go to the cafeteria to discuss Y time 4:15-6:00 – organized games, free time, and dismissal There is also an
extra homework time from about
4:30 – 5:00 for students who need more time to complete their homework.
Friday: 2:45-3:15 – take attendance, get snack 3:15–6:00 – clubs, organized games, free time, and dismissal
